A marked police SUV was bombed while parked in front of an officer’s home after midnight Wednesday in the Maryland town of Thurmont. Thurmont is located in north-central Maryland near the presidential retreat Camp David.
Police said a pipe-bomb like device exploded on the hood and windshield of the police vehicle shortly after the officer parked it after returning home. The officer was not injured.
The explosive device used by a left wing extremist to blow up a police SUV in Maryland was a pipe bomb.
