If you listen to Bob Corker, Trump will likely name his Vice President (or running mate) on the Friday before the RNC convention. Corker tells WaPO that Trump will announce his selection July 15th. The convention starts on the 18th.

The names mentioned as Trump’s possible VP pick include Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie and Mike Pence. Other than Pence, the worst possible VP picks would be Gingrich and/or Christie. Joni Ernst said today that she will not be Trump’s VP, so you can scratch her off the list.
