Here’s a surprise, at least to me. Donald Trump won the Hawaii GOP primary, easily. I figured some squishy moderate like Rubio or Kasich would win, being that Hawaii is one of the most liberal states in the country. Guess I was wrong. This race wasn’t even close, and there were no public polls released to compare how accurate they would have been on an otherwise disaster of a night for pollsters.

BREAKING: Donald Trump wins Republican presidential caucuses in Hawaii
— The Associated Press (@AP) March 9, 2016
Trump does own hotels in Hawaii, so I guess the ‘moderate’ Republicans in Hawaii thought that was good enough to give him their vote.
By taking Hawaii, Trump wins three out of four states tonight. Hawaii is worth a total of 19 delegates.
