Based on media declaring the race is over and Donald Trump the GOP nominee, the race is far from over. Donald Trump did well last night, but so did Ted Cruz and the media seems to want to overlook that. For instance in Texas, Cruz got 99 delegates compared to Trump’s 38. Through 15 states the delegate count has Trump with 319 delegates and Ted Cruz has 226. If you listen to the media you’d think Trump has upwards of 500 or 600 delegates by now. Thirsty little Marco Rubio has 110 delegates and another 40 or so are with loser candidates like John Kasich, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, etc. Can you honestly see Cruz, Rubio or other delegates going to Trump?

There are more non-Trump delegates than for Trump. Of course, after March 15th, the primary and caucuses become winner take all, and we’ll see if Trump can really win it all, or if Ted Cruz cn over-take him. New York and New Jersey for example are after March 15th and those are obvious slam dunks for Trump. But what about states like Wisconsin, California, Pennsylvania? I don’t think Trump will pull in the share of the votes in those states that he has been doing in the south.
Also, by the time these other states begin voting, the race will be down to two or three candidates. No more Kasich saving Trump’s ass by sucking off votes like he did last night in Vermont and Virginia. This race is not over, despite what the media wants you to believe.
