Imagine. Donald Trump owning Jeb Bush in a debate over amnesty, or a ‘act of love’ as ElJebO called it. Well, the GOP/RNC is working behind the scenes to make sure that doesn’t happen and trying to ban Donald Trump from the GOP debates. The first debate is coming up August 6th.

Republican Party establishment members and the wealthy donors who back them aren’t very happy with billionaire real estate mogul and presidential candidate Donald Trump right now.
Trump has been rocking the boat and making waves with his straight talk about illegal immigration and international trade, upsetting an establishment intent on maintaining the status quo, or at best making incremental changes.
Now it seems that some members of the establishment have been searching for ways to exclude Trump from the upcoming GOP presidential debates, with a top donor floating the idea of an outright ban on Trump.
A recent Associated Press report declared, “Republican donor John Jordan said Monday that GOP leaders should take steps to block Trump’s access to the first presidential debate in early August.”
“Someone in the party ought to start some sort of petition saying, ‘If Trump’s going to be on the stage, I’m not going to be on there with him,’” Jordan told the AP. “I’m toying with the idea of it.”
Other top GOP donors were calling for more civility and an end to the “Republican-on-Republican violence” between the many candidates, all of whom have struggled to be noticed among the deep field.
“Our candidates will benefit if they all submit to Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment, ‘Thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican,’” wrote donor Foster Friess, a supporter of former Sen. Rick Santorum, in a letter to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.
