Do those polling outfits really think Americans are this stupid? If they are just interested in playing to their left wing base, then they might be right on target then. A new Pew Poll released shows Obama up 8 on Romney. Bad news right? Not really, look at the sample statistics. Of course, this is also the same polling outfit who in September 2000 had Al Gore up 5 points on W. Bush, so take it with a grain of salt. Check out these interesting stats from Pew’s ‘sample.’ First off, the voting break down in 2008 was D+7 in a wave election when no one knew who Obama was and thought he was the Messiah. In 2004 and 2010 midterms, there were equal amounts of Republicans and Democrats who voted. This year, Democrats will be lucky if they have a 1 or 2 point gap. But this poll has a sample size of D+9. 37D/28R/31I. But this isn’t even the main story of this poll. Based on the poll’s stats, the break down of voters from 2008 was: 47% Obama and 32% McCain, a whopping 15% point gap!
So please spare me the panic. These biased polls are about as big of a joke as the pink slime media has become. Wasn’t Pew once a reliable, non-partisan poll?
