In general, I’m all for helping Taiwan take on Tampon Timmy’s Chinese communists. But the focus of our money should be on the southeast, ravaged by hurricane Helene. As the region tries to recover, they have to do so with little to not help from the government (despite the taxes they pay for exactly this situation). Instead, another $8 billion is going to Ukraine and now another half billion is going to Taiwan instead.
