Now the fun begins. Yes it’s sad that Ruth Bader Ginsburg died, I don’t wish death or illness on anyone. But now Trump can replace her in the Supreme Court, giving the SCOTUS a 6-3 conservative tilt (at least sometimes with that hack John Roberts). Who will the replacement be? Amy Coney Barrett is the obvious choice for me, but Trump may want to go another direction. It’s likely there wouldn’t be any confirmation vote on the new SCOTUS judge until the lame duck session of the Senate, will all the close Senate races going on.
Maybe ask Clarence Thomas who he’d pick to as a candidate. He’s about the best SCOTUS justice we have left.
The Senate and the nation mourn the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the conclusion of her extraordinary American life.
