In a low turnout election, such as tonight for Illinois 3rd congressional district, the Bernie Sanders communist wing of the Democrat party was set to do well (aside from statewide because Bernie Sanders is a quitter). Take for instance, Illinois district 3, the so called “upper class” side of Chicago. It had been represented by faux moderate Democrat Dan Lipinski since 2005. Tonight though, with so many people spooked by the Chinese coronavirus, turnout was below 2018 mid-term primary levels, and communist Marie Newman has beaten Lipinski after 15 years in Congress. Chicago has officially gone communist.
I've seen enough: progressive Marie Newman (D) defeats pro-life, eight-term Rep. Dan Lipinski (D) in #IL03.

Older voters in Chicago stayed home with the Chinese coronavirus hype, this helped Newman unseat Lipinski without a doubt. Good luck Chicago. Enjoy your communist since this is a safe blue district.
