The famed, 12th century Notre Dame cathedral in Paris has been on fire since the early afternoon in Paris. No answers yet if this was a simple accident that caused this fire, or an act of terror. One reason that you could never discount terrorism is because today is the six year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing in the United States. Also, back in 2016, there was a terror plot foiled that targeted the same Notre Dame cathedral on fire now.

If the Notre Dame cathedral turns out to be terrorism, don’t automatically assume it was Islamic jihadists who are responsible. The yellow vest radicals who have been protesting in France for months now are just as likely to be responsible if this is terrorism.
Notre Dame was undergoing a $6.8 million renovation project, with some sections under scaffolding, while bronze statues were removed last week for works.
I pray that the Notre Dame Fire was an accident and not an act or terror.

Regardless of what this ultimately turns out to be, accident or terror, this is terrible and a hideous blow to the symbolic heart of Paris.
