Authorities are searching for a suspect after a Raleigh police officer was shot in the neck Wednesday night in Raleigh.
The shooting happened at about 8:25 p.m. on Teakwood Place near Deboy Street.
The wounded officer was taken to WakeMed in another officer’s patrol car, authorities said. Following the officer’s arrival, WakeMed was placed on “red diversion,” meaning all non-trauma patients will be diverted to other hospitals for treatment.
