While I’m not a fan of the Bush family, I have to give them credit where it’s due. Unlike the McCain clown show, the Bush funeral wasn’t about whining about your political enemies. The Bush funeral was pure class, and finally free of hate (expect from Hillary Clinton). So what does the media do? If you are NBC, you bash Dan Quayle, who while being H.W. Bush’s VP was routinely bashed by the media as being an idiot.
Of course, you had the biggest idiot ever for Vice President with Joe Biden for eight years, who likes to fondle little children. But the media never bashed him, especially NBC.

The journalists at NBC News couldn’t let the funeral service of George H.W. Bush go by without using the occasion to offer some nasty comments about other Republicans. When former Vice President Dan Quayle showed up at National Cathedral, Andrea Mitchell’s first reaction was this: “He was almost dropped from the [1992] ticket, although the loyalty of Bush 41 rejected the advice of political advisers who thought he had become a liability.”
Continuing the mockery, she derided, “He was chosen for youth, for conservative credentials. But he was hardly the best of the Indiana senators because Dick Luger was the senior senator.”
