According to reports, the alleged gunman in the Louisville shooting was a 25-year-old named Connor Sturgeon, who supposedly sent a text to a friend before the incident expressing suicidal thoughts and a desire to “shoot up the bank.”According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, an active shooting occurred on Monday morning in Louisville, Kentucky, resulting in “multiple casualties.”
According to Humphrey, eight individuals, including two officers, have been transported to University Hospital for medical care, with one officer reportedly in critical condition.
The lone suspect involved in the shooting has died, and police believe the person had a connection to the bank under investigation.
Officials have commended the quick response of law enforcement, which they believe helped to save lives during the incident.The incident took place in the city’s downtown area, near Slugger Field, and was reported by the police shortly before 9 am.
