Another win for Republicans, over two weeks after the election. This one in California’s third district with Kevin Kiley beating communist “Kermit” Jones. Yea, it took more than two weeks to call a race for a Republican run against a guy named after a frog.
Decision Desk HQ actually called this race for Kiley back on November 15th, but the “official” media like the Associated Press waited until today to call it. Kevin Kiley beats frog Kermit Jones, giving Republicans 220 with a few races in California still not called.
AP – Republican Kevin Kiley wins election to U.S. House in California's 3rd Congressional District.
GOP – 220
Dem – 212
3 races uncalled (2 GOP, 1 Dem)Most likely outcome is GOP House majority of 222-213, which is exactly what Democrats won in 2020.
