Miami-Date county has been a Democrat stronghold in Florida for at least two decades now. The last Republican to win statewide office and capture Miami-Date county was Jeb Bush on 2002.
Fast forward to 2018, when the drug addicted loon Andrew Gillium almost beat Ron DeSantis for the governor’s election. In that election, Miami-Dade went 60% for Gillium and only 39% for DeSantis, a 21 point difference.
Now in 2022, early vote returns in Miami-Dade country, which historically are dominated by the Democrat vote, actually has about 1,200 more Republicans submitting ballots than Democrats so far. There is a very good chance that Miami-Dade goes full Republican on November 8th for both DeSantis and Rubio.
