The projected Republican majority in the upcoming congress just got bigger. RCP has moved three more seats from Toss Up to Lean Republican. Those seats include Oregon’s 5th congressional district, Nevada’s third congressional district and Washington’s eights congressional district. All three of these districts are currently held by communist Democrats.
RCP has an average GOP House gain of 31.5 seats, and as many as 48 seats. RCP has 228 seats in the Republican lean or better column. Democrats have only 174 seats as lean or better.
Also, two seats, one in New Mexico, another in California have shifted from Likely to “Lean” Democrat.
