Crayola crayons are marketed to 2-10 year old kids. Over the weekend they were marketing to kids using a disabled transgender man named Julian Gavino. July is Disability Pride Month and Crayola could have found anyone from millions of Americans with disabilities. Instead, they chose a transgender man with disabilities and felt the backlash. Apparently, in the middle of the night, Crayola thought they could quietly scrub to groomer post pimping Julian Gavino and no one would care.
For adult stuff, I can careless if someone is transgender. Some people are into that, I personally am not. But when you are marketing a product to 2-10 year olds, you don’t need transgenders to try and pimp your product. Leave transgenders to the adults. Is that too much to ask?
You don’t need to get into someone pronouns when it comes to 2-10 year olds.
