You did it Joe! Gas has hit a brand new national average record of $4.104 per gallon. It’s so bad that the website Gas Buddy servers are crashing as too many people are going to the site to check their state’s prices.
BREAKING: According to GasBuddy data, the US national average has JUST set a new all-time record: $4.104/gallon, eclipsing 2008's record of $4.103/gal. The higher prices this time will likely stay around far longer. #oil #gasprices https://t.co/8RgHCC9sK3

The GasBuddy app continues to struggle under a tremendous amount of traffic, we are working feverishly to scale up.

Would like to publicly acknowledge our @GasBuddy engineering team who has been up all hours of the day, working to keep GasBuddy service online amidst record-breaking traffic to the site and app. Incredible.

Gas Buddy has been completely unusable for me all day. Everyone and their dog is on it right now, and I'm guessing the app was not set up for anywhere near the level of traffic it's currently getting.
