As Justin Trudeau has gone full Fidel Castro Jr. invoking the “Emergencies Act” which is martial law in Canada, four Canadian Provincial premiers in Alberta, Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan oppose Trudeau’s dictatorial move. Quebec and Manitoba are pretty left wing too, as are some parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The Emergencies Act has never been implemented before and was first established in 1988.
Canada is learning the hard way that continuing to elect communist leftists will turn their country into another Cuba. Sadly, the conservative party in Canada is as feckless and weak as the American Republican party. The major parties in Canada and the US are like mirror images.
Now all the attention shifts to the Canadian Parliament. They have seven days to approve Fidel Trudeau’s dictatorial takeover. They could also revoke it, basically leaving Trudeau as a lame duck.
Earlier on Monday, four provincial premiers — in Alberta, Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan — said they opposed plans to invoke the act, saying it was unnecessary.
Trudeau said the measures would be “geographically specific and targeted only to where they are needed”. They will also be “time limited”, he said.
The Canadian Parliament would have to approve the use of the emergency measures within seven days, and it also has the power to revoke them.
