Maybe Twitter just wants to date Ocasio-Cortez. Just 20 hours after announcing on her Instagram video that she was taking a break from Twitter, because of all the “negativity” or something. Her break from Twitter lasted a grand total of 20 hours.
Seniors, kids, & people with disabilities in my community have been sleeping with bubble jackets on in 18 degree nights, despite paying rent, bc the NYCHA funding to fix their heating and capital needs is in BBB.
Where should I direct them to wait out the cold? Manchin’s yacht? https://t.co/vXwbVX30ca

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is back on Twitter Tuesday after announcing she was taking a ‘break’ from the the social media platform the evening before.
She ended her brief respite after less than a week with a post suggesting she could ‘direct’ impoverished New York residents to West Virginia moderate Democrat Senator Joe Manchin’s house boat.
During an Instagram Story Q&A on Monday night, one observant user questioned the progressive firebrand’s noticeable absence on Twitter, where she usually posts regularly.
It comes after it was revealed Manchin had to spend $75,000 on private security detail last year amid increased protests and threats over him breaking from Biden’s agenda.
The New York firebrand and member of The Squad made the announcement through an Instagram video, where she told her 8.5 million followers she was just ‘taking a break’ and would be back.
Ocasio-Cortez tested positive for the virus on January 9 after her maskless jaunt to Florida where she partied with actor Billy Porter and sipped cocktails with her boyfriend at a sushi restaurant.
On her way back to Washington, DC on Monday Ocasio-Cortez held a Q&A on her Instagram Story where a user, noticing her recent lack of tweets, asked: ‘When will you come back to Twitter?? You’re missed.’
‘That’s so funny that you bring that up,’ Ocasio-Cortez smiled. ‘Yeah when I got COVID I turned off all my devices, which means I wasn’t really on social media that much or anything like that.’
‘And I found that when I went to open Twitter up again, it just like wasn’t really making me –‘
