The media had an epically embarrassing year in 2021. Fewer people trust the media, the ratings are crashing and they are basically a running joke. But maybe no where was it worse than at CNN, “the most trusted name in news” as they call themselves.
Lately, CNN has been in focus because of two producers being accused of pedophilia.
Two high-ranking CNN producers recently resigned following scandals that both involved pedophilia. Rick Saleeby, who was a senior producer for CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” is under criminal investigation following a Project Veritas investigation alleging Saleeby solicited sexually explicit photos of an underage girl.
John Griffin, who worked as a senior producer on Chris Cuomo’s show, was arrested this month on child sex trafficking charges. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include allegations that he used Kik and Google Hangout to “persuade parents to allow him to train their daughters to be sexually submissive.”
Prosecutors claim that in one instance, Griffin arranged for a nine-year-old girl to travel from Nevada to his Vermont residence where she was “directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity.”
The scandals come shortly after Cuomo himself departed CNN in disgrace after it was revealed that he used his position at the network to help his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), to fight sexual harassment accusations.
In addition to the pedophilia scandals at CNN, they saw their ratings drop by historic levels, even worse than when Obama was president.
Of course, who could forget that salami slapper Jeffrey Toobin? He was caught on a Zoom call masturbating and CNN never fired him. Instead, they gave him a paid vacation for a few months, then brought him back as if nothing happened.
Oh, but they did hire hack Chris Wallace though for their CNN+ streaming service. Ask yourself, who the hell is going to pay to watch CNN?
