I don’t know if the Joseph Rosenbaum “Tribute Page” on Facebook is an attempt to troll, or real. If it’s real, and not trolling, its rather scary. The page talks about Joseph Rosenbaum as if he was some sort of “hero” and how was a “Minor Attracted Person” or MAP. This is the first post with text on November 19th:
Joseph Rosenbaum didn’t deserve to die. Neither did Anthony. Gaige didn’t deserve to be shot. Kyle deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison, but because of right winged pundits spreading misinformation and praising Kyle’s actions because these men had previous run ins with the law. Joseph may have been convicted of sexual offenses, but most of you don’t know his story. Joseph himself was sexually abused as a child, and didn’t know that his actions were wrong. He served his time for his crimes, and none of that should have any bearing on what happened in Kenosha that night. He did not deserve to be put to death over something that happened a long time ago. The right winged prejudice against Minor Attracted Persons (MAP’s) is one that is deeply engrained in our nation’s fabric, sadly. Minor Attracted Persons are living, breathing, human beings who experience emotions just like everyone else. They do not deserve to die because of ignorance pushed by the right. This page is here to pay tribute to a brave man who stood up to fascism, and for that we thank him.
