The backlash to the Salvation Army’s use of “Let’s Talk about Racism” that says all white Christians donors to repent and offer “a sincere apology” to blacks for being “antagonistic… to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community” has been swift. So the Salvation Army, looking to keep those “white Christian” donors to keep donating to their woke cause has removed Let’s Talk about racism “for review”. Not good enough.
LET’S TALK ABOUT RACISM
Consistent with its scriptural foundations, The Salvation Army stands against racism in all forms. Our International Positional Statement on Racism makes that clear.Elements of the recently issued “Let’s Talk About Racism” guide led some to believe we think they should apologize for the color of their skin, or that The Salvation Army may have abandoned its Biblical beliefs for another philosophy or ideology. That was never our intention, so the guide has been removed for appropriate review.
We can all agree about one thing. Racism has no place in society. Only the left will argue that wokeism and race hustling should be a part of today’s society.
