The rats just keep piling up the losses. Dirtbag Michael Cohen’s $1.9 million lawsuit against the Trump Organization has been thrown out of court.
A New York judge has tossed Michael Cohen’s long-running lawsuit against the Trump Organization, taking former-President Trump’s family company off the hook for his former attorney’s over $1.9 million legal fees.
Judge Joel M. Cohen ruled Friday that Cohen’s breach of contract lawsuit against the company, filed in March 2019 after the former “fixer” pleaded guilty to tax evasion and other crimes, cannot go forward.
Cohen — no relation to the judge — had originally sought restitution for the legal bills racked up as special counsel Robert Mueller and several congressional committees investigated his onetime boss.
“Mr. Cohen’s legal fees arise out of his (sometimes unlawful) service to Mr. Trump personally, to Mr. Trump’s campaign, and to the Trump Foundation, but not out of his service to the business of the Trump Organization, which is the only defendant in this case,” the judge wrote.
