The problems with Southwest airlines continued on this Columbus Day 2021, another 348 flights had to be cancelled and another 271 were delayed. Add in this weekend’s 1800 flight cancellations, and you now have Southwest Airlines canceling over 2,100 flights in the last three days. What is the cause of this? There are all kinds of excuses going around. Southwest is blaming weather, others are saying it’s a “sickout” by fed up employees over the vaccine mandate and Southwest’s policy. Whatever it is, Southwest is in trouble.
