Right on cue, Manchurian Mitch McConnell helps Democrats as they were about to shut down the government because they didn’t have the votes to raise the debt ceiling. McConnell and Republicans tried to pretend they were going to be all tough and not vote for any increase in the debt ceiling. Then, as so often happens, China Mitch caved and offered the Democrats a deal to raise the debt limit through December. With “Republicans” like McConnell, who needs Democrats?
