First, you had the softball interview with Lizard Cheney and hack Chris Wallace. Now, you have an actual article on Faux News by CNN rejected trash Howie Kurtz defending Cheney once again and spewing how Liz Cheney is a woman “acting on principle” and how “Cheney may well be the champion of a new political philosophy–call it Liz-ism—to restore her party to its conservative roots. ” There is NOTHING conservative about Lizard Cheney, unless you are referring to neocons.
LIzard Cheney, like her father never saw a war they didn’t like, never were against wasting American tax payer dollars on “nation” building outside of this country, or pandering to forgien countries by giving them our money. Lizard Cheney is a Bush Republican, aka a neocon, and nothing. He continued whining about Trump only displays more that she is unfit for office. Like Trump or not, he is out of office. Joe Biden has been installed as president, and the country and world has gone to hell since then. Gas lines, wars in the middle east, wide spread inflation, tanking stock markets and nearly 200,000 dead from COVID-19.
After yesterday’s vote, Cheney made clear that she won’t become an obscure backbencher. “I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets near the Oval Office,” she told reporters. “We have seen the danger he continues to provoke with his language.”
Whether you like Cheney or not, you have to credit her with acting on principle at considerable risk to her career.
Yet Trump, who relishes this fight, is at least as responsible for the way it is dominating media and political discourse. In one recent statement on how the victim of a jewel heist should get his gems back, he was obviously insinuating that he should return to power.
Cheney may well be the champion of a new political philosophy–call it Liz-ism—to restore her party to its conservative roots. But the giant specter of Trumpism stands in her way.
