Maxine Waters just doesn’t stop. After trying to instigate riots last weekend in Brooklyn Center, now she’s whining about Minneapolis Judge Pete Cahill who oversaw the conviction of former officer Derek Chauvin on all three charges. She’s calling Judge Cahill “way off track”. And guess who Maxine Waters is blaming? Non other than Qanon, as if they have something to do with this case or anything.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) attacked Judge Peter Cahill, who presided over the Derek Chauvin murder trail, after he criticized inflammatory remarks that Waters made before the verdict in the trail was reached, saying that he was “way off” to criticize her and that it is “not credible” to say that she may cause an appeal in the case.
Waters made the remarks during a CNN interview with Jim Acosta on Saturday where she claimed without evidence that she was being attacked by Republicans over her comments because they want to distract from “QAnon.”
CNN played Cahill’s remarks from the trial where he criticized Waters:
I’ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trail being overturned. … I wish elected officials would stop talking about this case, especially in a manner that is disrespectful to the rule of law, and to the judicial branch and our function. … A congresswoman’s opinion really doesn’t matter a whole lot. Anyway, so motion for mistrial is denied.
Asked to respond to those comments, Waters claimed that the judge “walk[ed] it back” and that he was “angry” and “frustrated” with the amount of publicity that the case was receiving.
