Nikki Haley is such a slug. She tried to pretend she was a tea party candidate in her 2010 run for South Carolina governor. That’s what got her the victory. The media, especially the hacks at Faux News built her up as some sort of budding superstar in the Republican party. Then Trump for whatever reason picked her to be Ambassador to the UN where she was actually pretty good (surprisingly). Prior to the 2016 election, Haley was a NeverTrump establishment hack who bashed Trump whenever she could, so her being picked as Ambassador was likely done by one of the establishment hacks Trump surrounded himself with.
Then came the Capitol Riots on January 6th, 2021. Of course Nikki Haley was quick to blame Trump for the riots, even though all Trump supporters were the ones who managed to get killed. Haley became the darling of the media, and she through she was cruising to the 2024 nomination. Turns out, she basically wrecked her political future. She tried to schedule a meeting with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago and was completely and totally rejected!

President Donald Trump turned down his former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley after she requested a meeting at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, according to a report.
Politico’s Playbook reported details of the meeting request, citing a “source familiar” with the incident.
Haley criticized Trump extensively in a Politico magazine article, even suggesting that his political relevance was over.
“I don’t think he’s going to be in the picture. I don’t think he can. He’s fallen so far,” she said. “We need to acknowledge he let us down. He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him.”
