We all knew before the debate Chris Wallace was nothing more than an anti-Trump hack who only has a job in media because of his father (who wasn’t a great journalist either). But tonight, Chris Wallace basically acted like Candy Crowley and tried to protect Biden, even lying when asking Trump questions. Two of which include:

1) Recycling the lie about Trump calling white supremacists “very fie people” after the Charlottesville incident.
CLAIM: Both moderator Chris Wallace and Democrat nominee Joe Biden claimed that President Trump said in response to riots in Charlottesville in 2017 that neo-Nazis were “very fine people.”
VERDICT: FALSE.
Biden has repeated this hoax since the beginning of his campaign. Wallace knows better.
2) Chris Wallace falsely claims Trump ended “racial sensitivity training”
CLAIM: Debate Moderator Chris Wallace claimed that President Donald Trump is ending “racial sensitivity training.”
VERDICT: FALSE.
Wallace, moderating the first presidential debate on Tuesday night, made a number of inaccurate statements in his questions to both candidates on the topic of race.
One was the claim that President Trump is ending “racial sensitivity training.” That is simply not true. President Trump banned forced ‘critical race theory’ indoctrination for government employees.
These are not the same thing.
