The man who was violently assaulted in Downtown Portland on Sunday is out of the hospital and recovering, but is still badly hurt.

Adam Haner has broken ribs, bruising, and said doctors are concerned he could have long term vision damage.

Police identified the suspect in his assault, which was captured on video and widely circulated online, as 25-year-old Marquise Love. Love has not yet been arrested as a suspect in the case, jail records show.

Haner said he is not seeking anything from his attackers, but hopes they learn from this incident.

“I remember vaguely being on the ground and trying to call her,” Haner said, referencing his girlfriend. “Then I don’t remember anything. Two days later I wake up, and now I’m here.”
