So now Aunt Jemima is too racist for the world in 2020, despite being in existence since 1889. Apparently having an African-American on a logo promoting food is now considered akin to promoting slavery and racism. So what could Quaker Oats (owned by Pepsi) do to save their brand. They are not only removing the iconic face, but changing the name brand. How about if Quaker Oats signs up Rachel Dolezal to play Aint Jemima instead? That eliminates both of Quaker’s problems. You have a white person (who pretended to be African American) as the logo, and you change the name away from Aunt Jemima. It’s a win win situation.
