Up until now, the media has fawned over Comrade Andrew Cuomo as if he was doing some sort of good job in New York. The numbers don’t lie. New York has by far the highest infection rate, the highest amount of deaths from COVID-19 and the most people killed in nursing homes because people infect with the COVID-19 virus were put back into nursing homes, by Andrew Cuomo and the crooks who run New York.
Today, Cuomo showed you exactly how much Democrats care if you or your loved one dies. On the over 5,000 deaths at nursing homes because of his policies, all Cuomo could do was say “That’s life” and that it was above his “Pay grade.” What a complete piece of shit. Despite nearly 5,400 nursing home residents dead and calls growing for a probe of his policies that mandated the facilities take in coronavirus patients amid the pandemic, Gov. Andrew Cuomo insisted Wednesday that he and his officials “did everything we could” to protect the most vulnerable population.
“As a society, you can’t save everyone, you’re gonna lose people, that’s life,” said Cuomo in a press briefing in soon-to-reopen Watertown, in upstate New York. “But we did everything we could.”
Cuomo repeated that conscience-clearing mantra, or a close variation of it, six times in a matter of seconds when grilled specifically about a lack of diagnostic tests making it impossible for some nursing homes to comply with his new edict that all workers be screened twice weekly.
The governor mandated the stepped-up screening on Sunday, in addition to ruling that hospitals can no longer discharge patients to nursing homes unless they test negative for the contagion.
