If you were Christian and lost your job in and around Easter or earlier, De Blasio didn’t seem to care if you starved to death or committed suicide because you couldn’t pay your rent or mortgage. But when it comes to New York’s Muslims, the story is different. 500,000 tax payer funded Halal certified meals will be given to the city’s Muslim population during Ramadan. I wouldn’t care so much if De Blasio was as generous for the veteran homeless who line the streets of New York city, but they don’t seem to count to communist Democrats anymore. And the tax payers will pay for it, funds will probably come out of either an earlier bailout or a future one. Did De Blasio give out free Easter meals to Christians earlier this month? I certainly didn’t read or hear anything about that.

“One of Ramadan’s most noble callings is to feed the hungry. And it’s a crucial part of how the holiday is celebrated, to remember to be there for those in need,” de Blasio said at a press briefing on Thursday. “And that is now harder than ever.”
“Obviously, people can’t go to their mosques,” he continued. “In fact, mosques have often been a place that those who were hungry, those who were poor, would know they could go during Ramadan to break the fast.”
