General Motors, who got a ton of bailout money from US taxpayers during the financial crisis of 2008 and will likely get a bunch more with today’s CARES Act has been dragging their feet on making more ventilators. They have basically forced Trump’s hand to use the DPA for the first time and force them to make ventilators.
