It was mostly a good night in Kentucky tonight, except in the governors. Unpopular Matt Bevin, who had approval ratings in the 30’s is going to lose to left wing socialist, pretending to be a conservative Andy Beshear. The good news though is that in every other key race, including Secretary of State, the Republicans dominated the socialists.

Congrats to Kentucky Sec of State-elect @Adams4SecState. Mike has a long record of helping drive state reform as legal counsel at @The_RGA, and now he'll drive state reform himself. Congrats, Mike! https://t.co/O6NIpBEAOs

Also winning by a large margin and flipping from Democrat to Republican was the Kentucky Attorney General spot. Previously held by the socialist who won governor tonight, that honor now goes to the first African-American Attorney General elect in Kentucky’s history Daniel Cameron.

So I guess it all really just comes down to how unpopular Matt Bevin was. With every Republican winning tonight, there is no danger of Kentucky suddenly becoming a blue state. In fact, it got more Republican. Don’t let the media narrative fool you.
