Turns out the Biden Crime Family’s claws into the American tax payer even before Obama. Back in 2006, crackhead Hunter Biden was put on the board of tax payer funded Amtrak and given $1.76 million. The reason why Biden got put onto the board of Amtrak and got all that money? Because he “logged thousands of miles on Amtrak” or something. Seriously. This even predates Obama and shows how corrupt the Biden Crime Family really is.

For the most part, as Gilbert and Sullivan might have put it, R. Hunter Biden is the very model of a modern major lobbyist. He has an office near K Street, a blue-ribbon roster of clients, and his firm, Oldaker Biden & Belair, made $1.76 million in lobbying revenue in the first half of 2006.
In one way, however, he stands apart from the well-shod group that visits Capitol Hill on behalf of their clients. Ever since President Bush nominated Biden in 2006 to serve a five-year term on the Amtrak board, the Yale law school graduate has spent a good deal of his time advocating without pay on behalf of the hard-pressed, government-subsidized nationwide railroad. He is the sole Democrat on the seven-member panel, which has two vacancies.
As a frequent commuter, I have literally logged thousands of miles on Amtrak,” Biden told the Senate Commerce Committee on his way to being unanimously confirmed for the board seat being vacated by another Democrat, former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis. “I believe in the organization and its employees,” he added.
“I see this appointment as a great opportunity to turn around what can and must be a key component of our transportation system,” he also said. “Amtrak should be one of our success stories; right now it is one of our biggest challenges.”
Biden declined several requests to be interviewed for this article, referring a reporter through his assistant to an Amtrak spokesman. The spokesperson said its executives do not comment on board-related matters.
Until late last month, Biden frequently commuted to New York, where he was the interim chief executive of the $500 million international hedge fund Paradigm Global Advisors. He stepped down from the post shortly after his father, Sen. Joseph R. Biden, D-Del., became chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launched his second quest for the White House.
