Venezuela is the model for what the Democrats want to do to this country. Almost seven years ago, the communist-socialist regime of Venezuela banned all private gun ownership. Today, the Maduro regime is killing citizens in the streets trying desperately to get US aid because the government is collapsing. Think the people targeted by the Maduro regime wish they still had their guns? If Democrats ever regain full power, they want to ban all private gun ownership here too, just like in Venezuela.
The reason why Venezuela banned private gun ownership back in 2012 was the same reason Democrats today claim that’s need to confiscate and ban guns. For the “security” of the citizens.

Venezuela has brought a new gun law into effect which bans the commercial sale of firearms and ammunition.
Until now, anyone with a gun permit could buy arms from a private company.
Under the new law, only the army, police and certain groups like security companies will be able to buy arms from the state-owned weapons manufacturer and importer.
The ban is the latest attempt by the government to improve security and cut crime ahead of elections in October
