Here’s a shocker in Minnesota. The latest Star Tribune poll (Minnesota’s main newspaper) has Doug Wardlow up seven points on woman beater and Louis Farrakhan BFF Keith Ellison. This is of course only one poll, but it’s shocking. I wrote this race off because of all the crazies in Minnesota. The state that’s already elected Keith Ellison to Congress over and over again. The same state that elected Al Franken and Jesse Ventura state wide I figured would elect Ellison in a landslide, not matter what his past was.

If this Star Tribune poll is accurate, Keith Ellison may not just lose the Minnesota AG race, he may get crushed. During the Minnesota primary elections, there are at least twice as many Democrat votes for Ellison as there were Republican votes for Wardlow.
This also spells bad news for Tina Smith. The seat once held by Al Franken has seen those poll numbers tighten too. It was also assumed to be another safe Democrat seat this election. Maybe it isn’t after all.
Finally this may be bad news for Democrats and the Minnesota governor’s race too. That too has seen polls tightening after the Democrat lead most of the summer by double digits. Now, it’s in single digits and is trending towards the Republican candidate.
