Update: The suspect has surrendered. One killed. This Trader Joe’s hostage situation ended without being a mass casualty event. Well done LAPD!
The suspect in the Silverlake Trade Joe’s hostage situation late this afternoon is being described as a black male in his late teens. Reports say the suspect shot his grandmother and possibly is girlfriend before leading police on a high speed chase from Hollywood. Eventually he crashed what turned out to be his grandmother’s car into a Trade Joe’s market in Silverlake (suburb of Los Angeles.) The suspect has taken several hostages and reports of gun shots have been fired.

So who gets the blame here? Instantly, liberals on Twitter are claiming that the hostage taker at the Trader Joe’s is a “white nationalist” and Trump supporter. That would be pretty amazing considering the suspect has been described as a black male in his 20’s. I don’t recall seeing any white nationalist black twenty year olds lately.

Whatever the person’s name is who took hostages at Trader Joe’s in Silverlaker, it’s probably not a terrorist situation. Kid is probably just mentally disturbed or it’s a domestic violence issue.
The good news so far is that there are no reports of anyone being killed. The suspect has released some of the hostage and is negotiating an end with police.
This certainly isn’t likely to be related to politics either, despite what the left wants you to believe.
