When is the last time you heard of any Republican president with 22% support of black males? It may not sound like much, but considering past president support among black males has usually hovered around to single digits to very low double digits, 22% support among black males is downright high! If Trump and the Republicans are really going to go after the black vote, they have far more work to do then just Kanye West speaking up for him.
Trump support with black males doubles – Democrats panic |

A new Reuters poll taken on April 29, 2018 has President Trump’s approval rating among black men at 22%.
Although this number seems small, the same poll rated President Trump’s approval rating at 11% just a week before. The April 22, 2018 poll sampled just under 200 black males each week and just less than 3,000 people overall.
Furthermore, the poll shows that the amount of black men who said they had “mixed feelings” about President Trump increased from 1.5% to 7.1% in the same time period.
The poll is interesting as the increase in support comes at the same time hip-hop legend Kanye West publicly announced that he is a supporter of President Trump.
