The first photo of new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo meeting with Kim Jong Un has been released by the White House. It shows Pompeo and Little Rocket Man shaking hands earlier this month.

I have mixed feelings about this. Getting Kim Jong Un to “get rid of his nukes” obviously sounds great on paper. But can we really trust him? After 30 years of games by North Korea from Un’s grandfather and father, why should we suddenly trust them? Maybe Little Rocket Man is really scared that Trump would actually follow through on his threats to take out Kim if they pulled anything with their nukes.
Compared to the paper tigers of the two Bush presidents Obama and BJ Clinton, that’s the only reason I could figure why North Korea is making such a drastic change so suddenly. Again, trust but verify.
