While Brian Ross got a slap on the wrist for his fake news story about Michael Flynn and Trump, CNN’s ‘standards’ don’t even warrant any discrepancy action against the CNN hacks who’s fake news story about Wikileaks e-mails and Donald Trump Jr. that ended up exploding in their face. This is CNN’s “integrity.”
A CNN spokeswoman says there will not be disciplinary action in this case because, unlike with Brian Ross/ABC, @MKRaju followed the editorial standards process. Multiple sources provided him with incorrect info.

CNN’s PR statement put out a statement about a “correction” to their original fake news story, making no mention that the e-mails were publicily available months before Trump Jr. was told about them.
CNN's initial reporting of the date on an email sent to members of the Trump campaign about Wikileaks documents, which was confirmed by two sources to CNN, was incorrect. We have updated our story to include the correct date, and present the proper context for the timing of email
