Unlike the NFL, I actually enjoy watching hockey and the NHL. But I will have no problem boycotting if the NHL allows two Canadian born players to disrespect this country and “kneel” during our national anthem. The two Canadian born players are Wayne Simmonds and Joel Ward, both of whom were born in Toronto. Of course, Simmons and Ward have no problem taking cash from Americans that pay their outrageous salaries. Wayne Simmons plays for the Philadelphia Flyers and Joel Ward plays for the San Jose Sharks, two cities that are as un-American as it gets.
Two Canadian born NHL players plan to kneel during American anthem |

Wayne Simmons is actually a decent player, scoring 30 goals a year. Joel Ward on the other hand is a scrub, always has been a scrub and will be out of the league soon since he’s 36 years old. I’d really love to hear how these two Canadian born pieces of garbage have been oppressed by Americans, the police, Donald Trump or whatever. They aren’t Americans, they don’t play for Team USA during the national tournaments. So tell me again how America oppresses these pieces of trash?
National anthem protests are spilling into the NHL, as the responses to President Donald Trump’s recent comments against the NFL are crossing into other major sports leagues. The Sharks’ Joel Ward and the Flyers’ Wayne Simmonds are two players who have publicly said they are considering kneeling during the national anthem or a similar action.
Just try it Canadian assholes. Have you seen the backlash for the NFL? The backlash for your small league the NHL would be equally as fierce at least or fans of American teams. There are only six Canadian teams left in the NHL. Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Montreal.
