Cindy McCain is expected to be offered a role in President Trump’s State Department, according to a Monday report in The Daily Beast.
McCain, who is married to outspoken Trump critic Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), is reportedly the president’s pick for a post at Foggy Bottom and may hold the title of “U.S. ambassador-at-large for human rights.”
Trump personally, “aggressively courted her for this,” a White House source told the news outlet. “It’s a done deal now. … The president had floated several positions before—this is the one that stuck.”
Both Cindy McCain and her husband have been outspoken in past criticism of Trump.The McCain family are like the Bush and Clinton family.
