NSA leaker Reality Winner will plead not guilty to charges she leaked classified information to a reporter, her lawyer told NPR Wednesday.
Titus Nichols said Winner hopes to be released on bond Thursday.
Winner, a 25-year-old national government contractor based out of Augusta, Ga., was charged Monday with sending a classified report about Russia’s interference in the 2016 election to a reporter at The Intercept.
“There’s not much to comment on right now as far as whether there is a connection between my client and Intercept,” Nichols said. “I know that there is documents circulating on the Internet and everything else, but as far as concrete proof, we’re just not at that stage, yet.”
