In very unimpressive fashion, Ron Estes has won the KS04 Special Election for Congress to replace Mike Pompeo. This fourth congressional district of Kansas went to Donald Trump by 27 percentage points in the November election. Pompeo won his elections in this district by over 30 points each time he ran. So why did Ron Estes win by under 10%? Is he that weak of a candidate? Or are Republicans really committing political suicide?

We are calling #KS04 for Ron Estes. Sedgwick keeps falling for Thompson. No ground to make it up. https://t.co/2I8qbokhQN

For the first half of the returns in this election, the slimy Democrat James Thompson has ahead. During the really early part of this election, Thompson was ahead of Estes by over 20 percentage points. The biggest change in this special election was Sedgwick County (Wichita). Trump won Sedgwick County by 18 percentage points in November.
Either it’s Trump, or dumb Republicans after that stupid RyanCARE fight that’s causing this. Next week’s special eelction in Georgia is less Republican and could force a runoff between the Democrat and leading Republican vote getter. The Democrat media complex is hoping the Democrat next week gets over 50% and wins outright. Who knows what’s going to happen with all this crap going on. Trump’s picking of Kushner over Steve Bannon defiantly hurt him in this election.
