The Democrats and their surrogates in the media don’t seem to understand the difference between Trump campaign communication and Armed Services Committee duties. The question asked by Franken to Jeff Sessions during his committee hearing was if any evidence of any communication from Trump campaign officials and the Russian government. Sessions when meeting with the Russian ambassador didn’t discuss Trump campaign issues. He discussed Armed Service Committee related issues, or at least he claims this.
Trump campaign communication Vs. Armed Services Committee |

Unless the Democrats or Washington Post have evidence that Sessions spoke to the Russian ambassador purely for the Trump campaign, then that’s one thing. In this case, Jeff Sessions would have actually answered Franken’s question truthfully. Franken didn’t ask Sessions if he had any communications with Russian government officials during his time on the Armed Services Committee. Stupid Democrats and media hacks who are so desperate to change the narrative from last night’s speech don’t make this distinction.
It’s time for Democrats, the media and even NeverTrump hacks like John McCain, Lindsey Graham and others to learn the difference. Talking to the Russian ambassador while on the Armed Services Committee does not equal talking to the Russian ambassador about Trump’s campaign to become president. Are we all to assume that both McCain and Graham, who are on the same comittee have never spoken with the Russian ambassador? Let’s accuse them of working with the Russians to fix an election and see what happens.
