Chelsea Clinton’s husband may have used connections to the Clinton Foundation to raise money for his hedge fund, according to an allegation by a longtime Clinton aide released Sunday as part of hacked documents from WikiLeaks, Politico reports.
Marc Mezvinsky allegedly used invitations to a Clinton Foundation poker event to to woo wealthy Clinton supporters he wanted to invest in his hedge fund. He also relied on the a billionaire foundation donor to raise money for the hedge fund, the Wikileaks emails allege.
The memo and the email from 2011 and 2012 come from ex-Clinton aide Doug Band and were sent to current Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, Politico said.
