An Ohio man who allegedly shot a fellow bar patron in the leg last month after the victim expressed support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump turned himself in to police Friday, Cleveland.com reported.
Darnell Hall, 45, began to argue about the presidential race with a fellow regular at Winston’s Bar in Cleveland on July 25, the outlet noted.
Hall allegedly shot the 60-year-old victim in the leg, ran out of the bar and drove away, Cleveland.com said.
According to the Associated Press, Hall’s defense attorney Harvey Bruner argued in court Saturday that the bar’s owner attempted to break up the argument by grabbing Hall’s gun, “which caused the gun to fire one shot.”
